Vontade de Vencer is an awareness walk on visual disability. Throughout the route, participants wear glasses that simulate various conditions: total blindness, tunnel vision, macular degeneration, glaucoma…

How it works

  1. At the start, you receive a pair of glasses simulating a visual condition and, for some, a white cane.

  2. You walk in a small group, accompanied by a trained volunteer.

  3. Along the way, more glasses simulating different visual disorders are handed out.

  4. At the finish, we share what we felt. That’s where everything shifts.

Where the money goes

Each edition supports an organisation working with blind or visually impaired people in a different African country. In 2026, the funds go to Cape Verde.
